Wangfujing Snack Street is a highlighted section to Wangfujing and Beijing. Wangfujing Snack Street is located on the south side of Youhao Shijie Marketplace. There are hundreds of shops and booths on Wangfujing Snack Street. It is a special street in the aspect of selling local snacks and delicacies of different places all over China, tourist souvenir and folk craftworks. In the past, the popular Beijing snacks used to be hawked at temple fairs or roadside bazaars. Traditional Beijing snack bars have emerged in streets and lanes of the old city in recent years. Wangfujing Snack Street is an outstanding representative among plenty of different-sized snack streets.
This is a special street full of innovation and difference. It is a new show of Beijing traditional architectural feature and urban culture. The entrance of Wangfujing Snack Street is a traditional Pailou-style architecture with more than 10 meters tall. The street is divided into four zones all shown with typical architectural style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Some buildings are strongly featured by the rich family house, and some belong to the common houses. Both of them in different types and heights express the characteristics of this street. In modern big city, this street remains the tradition to some extent.

There is a symbolic snack town on this street. It is a great place for eating Chinese famous snacks. On the ground floor, there is a center of local snacks serving more than 500 local famous snacks of China. On the second floor, there is a center of Islamic flavor, many representative foods of Beijing time-honored restaurants such as Baodufeng, Yangtouma, Doufunaobai and Yueshengzhai. On the third floor, it specially serves the Jiujue Yangxin Tea and Eighteen Snack of Beijing. Each dish of them is from a historical and cultural story. Besides, people also can enjoy the charm of local stage classical performances such as Peking Opera, Kungfu Show and Comic Dialogue and so on.
